The Gurugram welfare society conducted a workshop on the Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) at the Indraprastha International School on Sunday in association with NTSE Hundreds of students from the top schools in south and west Delhi participated and felt passionate about learning higher level mathematical skills and finally competing with each other in the Olympiads in the future.

GST, Demonetization to be part of school texts

The National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) has decided to incorporate Goods and Services Tax as well as Demonetization in textbooks from next year.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas follow NCERT curriculum. It has also been decided by other states such as UP to follow the NCERT curriculum.

Anti Ragging Committee In NCU

The NorthCap University continues its Zero Tolerance Policy towards Ragging

With the new Academic session slated to start from 24 July 2017 and admissions continuing in full swing, The NorthCap University, Gurugram held its Anti-Ragging Committee meeting under the Chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Brig S K Sharma (Retd).

The Committee had wide representation with members from the University’s Administration, Faculty, Hostel Wardens, Local Police Station, Parents, members from the Press and local NGOs. The VC congratulated all the members present on the unblemished record of zero incident of ragging since its inception and reiterated the University’s resolve to remain free from the ugly menace of ragging. He informed all members that Anti Ragging squads from amongst Faculty, Administration and Technical staff members had been constituted and duly briefed on what constitutes ragging, vigil to be mounted to ensure meticulous implementation of anti-ragging measures and redressal mechanism in case the need arises.


UGC requests university to bring photos, Aadhar number on degrees

The University Grants Commission has requested all universities to introduce identification mechanisms like photograph and Aadhar number in degrees and certificates awarded to students.

Union Minister of State for HRD Mahendra Nath Pandey informed the Lok Sabha on Monday while replying to a question. He said the UGC has also requested all the universities to inscribe the name of institution in which a student is enrolled for a programme to study as well as the mode of delivery as regular, part-time or distance.
