New Delhi (NM Bureau): Ace Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar now plans to rock the international market with his apparel brand “True Blue”. The decision of the global cricketing icon was announced in an interaction with an Indian Daily today. Sachin is focusing on the overseas markets of USA and UK to begin with. True Blue is a joint venture between Sachin Tendulkar and the Lalbhai Group company Arvind Fabrics. Sachin’s apparel brand already sells through 75 exclusive outlets in India.
“Whenever I travel, I am not surprised to see made in India tag in clothes. So why not an Indian brand in those markets?” Sachin told Indian business daily Economic Times in an interview.
“Brand’s creative team travels extensively from Kashi to Kashmir and Rajasthan to soak in the energy of these regions and create the collection, Sachin added saying that he personally gives inputs including for design. The brand is already popular with Indian celebrities.
Sachin’s apparel line mixes Indian dyeing and cloth-making techniques with western styling. It was launched in 2016 in India.
