FODDER SCAM: RJD Supremo termed for jail sentence

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 others were convicted in fodder scam case under fraudulent which withdrawal of Rs 89.27 lakh from Deoghar treasury 21 years ago. A Jharkhand court stated that Yadav will receive his quantum of sentence on Thursday and he was brought from Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail to the court for sentencing in a Fodder Scam case.

Madras HC refuses to stay AIADMK General Body Meet to be held today; Meet to decide political fate of VK Sasikala among other issues

The AIADMK General Body meeting is to be held this morning in Chennai suburb- Vanagaram. It will be the first meeting after the merger of its two factions of the party led by chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy and his predecessor O. Panneerselvam. The political fate of the party General Secretary VK Sasikala in the party would be decided in the meeting. 

The legal hurdles against holding the event were removed with the Madras High Court in its late night hearing yesterday refusing to stay the proceedings. The plea was filed by a MLA of the party P Vetrivel who is said to be a loyalist of sidelined party leader and Sasikala's nephew T T V Dhinakaran.

New Cabinet Ministers

Several newly assigned ministers to assume charge on September 4

Several newly assigned ministers in yesterday's cabinet expansion of Union Council of Ministers will assumed charge in New Delhi today. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore who was given portfolio of Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry will assume of as MoS (Independent charge). 

Newly appointed Alphons Kannanthanam will take charge of Tourism Ministry and Sudharshan Bhagat as Ministr of State for Tribal Affairs. Minister of Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State for Skill Development Anant Kumar Hegde will assume their charge. Petroleum Minister Pradhan has been given additional charge of Skill Development. Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will also assume charge at New Delhi. Naqvi has been elevated to the Cabinet rank.

Six Cabinet Ministers resigned before the Cabinet reshuffle

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is preparing to make a major reshuffle in his cabinet, but before the cabinet reshuffle, six ministers have given the resignation, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Kalraj Mishra, Nirmala Sitharaman, Sanjeev Bialian have offered to resign, after which the new ministers are enrolled in the cabinet, everyone has an eye on it.
