MP shows up on work dressed as Hitler

Narmalli Sivaprasad

New Delhi (NM Bureau): The continuing protest by the lawmakers TDP, the ruling party of the Andhra Pradesh province for a special status, had a interesting turn of events today with one of the Member of Parliament (MP) of the party turning up in Parliament for the ongoing monsoon session dressed as Hitler.

TDP MP Narmalli Sivaprasad, who is popular in Delhi circles for his crazy dressings, made viral news today. This time, the actor-turned-politician, who dresses up as various characters as a form of protest, turned up sporting the mustache associated with Hitler along with a brown shirt and he even posed for the cameras with the Nazi salute.

"I started as a soldier in the German army and earned great respect but I was greedy for power and as a result, became responsible for World War 2, which resulted in the death of several crore people and I also killed myself,” MP Sivaprasad told parliament reporters before entering the House.

"My suggestion to Modi (Prime Minister of India) is not to go down that way. He has already cheated Andhra Pradesh and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. If he doesn't repent, then he will see his downfall," he added.

This is not the first time that the TDP MP has caught the attention of the media and the public with his unique and sometimes bizarre forms of protest. He has donned various dresses from that of Hindu God Ram to Satya Sai Baba.

The TDP and the government of India led by the BJP party have been at loggerheads ever since the former party left the BJP coalition to demand Special Category Status (SCS) to the state. Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated in 2013 and a new state Telangana was formed out of it. Since then Andhra has been demanding special package to compensate for its loss.
