NEW DELHI. NHPC Limited and Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Limited (JKSPDCL) signed an agreement on 27.03.2026 to develop two hydroelectric projects—240 MW Uri-I Stage-II and 260 MW Dulhasti Stage-II—at Jammu on a 40-year BOOT basis. The projects, with a total capacity of 500 MW, aim to boost clean energy and ensure reliable power supply in the region, with senior officials from both organizations present during the signing.
