Shri Narendra Nath Misra, former Director (Operations) of NTPC Ltd, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director of Adani Power effective December 4, 2025, for a three-year term. A distinguished power sector professional, Misra began his career with NTPC in 1977 as an Executive Trainee after graduating with honors in Electrical Engineering from REC Rourkela. With extensive experience across design, engineering, procurement, HR, and operations, he played a key role in commissioning India’s first 765 kV substation at NTPC Sipat. He has also contributed to BIS through the Electro-Technical Division Council and represented India at CIGRE, actively participating in its study committees and working groups. Misra currently serves on the boards of several power generation and distribution companies.
