MoU Signed Between Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPWD) for 'Job Coach for Inclusivity Programs'

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally executed between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and the Skill Council for Persons with Disability (SCPwD) at the IICA Campus in Manesar, Gurugram. This MoU aims to combine the expertise of SCPwD and IICA to provide corporations with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to develop and manage diverse workforces, utilizing the resources established under SCPwD and IICA’s guidance. SCPwD, in partnership with IICA, will take the lead in offering skill courses within the “Qualification – Job Coach for Inclusivity (JCI)” programs and other diverse fields.

The signing ceremony witnessed the presence of Shri Praveen Kumar, Director-General, and CEO of IICA, who emphasized the significance of promoting the inclusion of differently-abled individuals in corporate and organizational settings. The IICA-SCPWD Collaboration will enhance the capacities of corporate representatives and other stakeholders seeking to contribute to the field of Diversity and Inclusion.

Dr. Garima Dadhich, Head of the School of Business Environment at IICA, and Shri Ravindra Singh, CEO of SCPWD, were the signatories of this MoU. Dr. Dadhich stressed the timeliness of this initiative, underlining the need to strengthen the diversity and inclusion movement in India by building impactful capacity and creating a cadre of professionals specializing in facilitating the employment and post-employment adaptation and support for differently-abled individuals in corporate and organizational environments. Shri Ravindra Singh highlighted the necessity of enhancing corporate capacity to provide an inclusive environment for their differently-abled employees. Dr. Ravi Raj Atrey, Chief Programme Executive, SoBE, IICA, and Dr. Niharika Nigam, Head of S&QA, SCPWD, have been appointed as nodal officers responsible for executing this collaboration.
