Maharashtra government announces post-retirement allowance of Rs 20,000 for High Court judges

Maharashtra government has decided to provide post-retirement benefits and allowances to the judges of the Bombay High Court.

The allowance would be to the tune of ?14,000 to hire one domestic help and a chauffeur and ?6,000 for telephone expenses.The benefits would also extend to their surviving spouses.These allowances would be in addition to the retirement benefits which are granted by the Union Law Ministry.
