The Ministry of Power has conveyed the appointment of Lalit Bohra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) as Part-time Director (Government Nominee Director) on the Board of Powergrid with immediate effect. The term of appointment shall be w.e.f. 18.06.2024 till the date of superannuation or till any other appointment is made or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
He was also Director General of National Institute of Solar Energy. He is an Electrical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and an MBA (Finance) from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. He is an IRTS (Indian Railway Traffic Service) Officer of 1998 Batch.
