After Tejas, railways up for another makeover

Bhopal: Railways is improving by leaps and bounds, first it was the introduction of the world class train Tejas, now it is a world class station named Habibganj.


Railways is one of the few sectors which has been in the hands of the government completely and this has changed with the upcoming of Habibganj railway station, the first railway station to be built in a public-private partnership, specifically designed and planned so it reaches the international standards.

A local firm named Bansal Group was given the contract for building and maintaining this station for 8 years. Bansal Group has been allotted 4 land parcels on a lease of forty-five years.

Cabinet approves issuing bonds to raise Rs 2,360 crore for renewable energy schemes

New Delhi: The government will raise bonds of 2,360 crore rupees for renewable energy. A decision in this regard was taken by the Union Cabinet last evening. The bonds will be raised by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and funds will be used in various renewable energy programmes. The decision will boost infrastructure in the sector and facilitate achievement of ambitious targets for the renewable energy sector.


SPR nearing completion with the shifting of Ambedkar statue

Gurgaon: Huda will shift Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar's statue at Badshapur Chowk to a plot in the nearby colony to remove the last obstacle in the completion of Southern Peripheral Road. The relocation of the statue is slated to be completed by May 15. Huda is planning to finish SPR by June."The statue will be shifted to a plot in the nearby colony and people of the locality have already given consent for the same," Huda administrator Yashpal Yadav said. 
According to Huda, it is crucial to shift Ambedkar statue to enable the construction of elevated corridor on Sohna Road, which crosses SPR near Badshapur Chowk.
