Indus Battle Royale Wins Google Play’s “Best Made in India” Game Award

Bengaluru, November 21, 2024 – SuperGaming’s Indus Battle Royale has been awarded the Best Made in India Game by Google Play in its Best Of 2024 awards. Marking a milestone as the game wins this honor for the second year in a row. In 2023, the company had won this award for its game Battle Stars in the same category. The award acknowledges the game’s Indo-futuristic theme, and the dedicated efforts of SuperGaming to represent Indian culture in the Battle Royale genre.

SuperGaming, based in Pune, has been creating high-quality, real-time multiplayer shooter games that has resonated with audiences worldwide. Founded by Roby John and his team, the company has a history of success with popular titles like MaskGun, Silly Royale and Battle Stars, which have collectively reached over 100 million downloads globally. With Indus, the company aims to redefine the battle royale genre by introducing unique elements like “Cosmium,” the alternate win condition, and “Grudge,” which introduces revenge as a gameplay mechanic. The game also includes Indian inspired characters like Morni, Pokharan, Heena, Rana, and Sir-taj. Since its launch, Indus has received close to 5 million downloads, reflecting the game’s strong reception from players.
