NEW DELHI. The government has stated that sufficient stocks of coal are available at mines and power plants across the country, with no rise in coal prices despite the ongoing West Asia conflict. Officials from the Coal Ministry and Petroleum Ministry confirmed that LPG, petrol, and diesel supplies remain stable, with priority given to domestic consumers and continued expansion of PNG connections and regulated commercial LPG distribution.
The government also welcomed the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, expressing hope for lasting peace and smooth global trade through the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, port operations across India remain normal, with no congestion reported, and over 700 Indian seafarers have been safely repatriated, while authorities continue to ensure uninterrupted maritime operations and seafarer welfare.
