The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, plays a key role in fostering responsible business practices through academic research, capacity building, and advocacy. As part of this mandate, IICA launched its programme on responsible business conduct and hosts the National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC) annually. This conference facilitates multi-stakeholder dialogue, knowledge exchange, and skill enhancement on responsible business themes. While it promotes a shared understanding of good practices and supports academic development in the area of business responsibility, the conference is not a regulatory or policymaking platform and does not entail formal government follow-up mechanisms.
