The ‘Financial Year Book’ of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was released by Mr. Alok Verma, Director In charge, RSP with Additional Charge of DIC Bokaro Steel Plant in a function organised at Manthan Conference Hall on 26th September 2025. Mr. Tarun Misra, ED(HR), Mr. Anil Kumar, ED (MM), Mr. M P Singh, ED (Mines), Mr. S Pal Chowdhury, ED (Projects), Mr. Rajesh Dasgupta, CGM (Finance) with Additional Charge of ED(F&A), Dr J K Acharya, CMO Incharge, and many CGMs, HoDs and other senior officers, were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Verma lauded the meticulously prepared Year Book, commending it for presenting all essential information, especially the detailed financial data of the Mines along with RSP and SAIL in a single, easily accessible volume. He praised the Finance team for its crucial role in navigating the organisation through phases of escalating input costs, fluctuating demand, and the inherent cycles of the steel industry. Mr. Verma further observed that the Financial Year Book serves as a comprehensive source of facts, analysis and cost trends that will help shape the organisation’s future strategies.
The release was coordinated by Ms. Mahananda Sahoo, Deputy Manager (F&A) under the guidance of Mr Rajesh Dasgupta. Mr. Basant Singh, GM (F&A), Mr. Narayan Rao, GM (F&A) and Mr. S R Behera, GM (F&A) were also present on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning here that, the Financial Year Book 2024-25 comprises information on cost, techno economic parameters, sensitivity analysis manpower manpower cost, employment cost, Provident Fund contribution and interest rate, loan disbursement rules for PF, wage structure and much more data on production and saleable products along with graphical representation.
