The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has been tasked with producing a detailed project report (DPR) along with a master plan for the metro network that includes Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Cuttack, and Puri under the direction and assistance of Odisha Rail Infrastructure Development Limited (ORIDL), a joint venture of the Odisha government and the Ministry of Railways.
Creating the DPR in a short amount of time will be a massive undertaking, but the authorities have accepted the challenge while keeping in mind the standards set by the world’s greatest METRO systems.
The DPR would be ready for the route connecting Biju Patnaik International Airport to Trishulia in the first phase.
