The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which operates the Delhi Metro in the national capital, has broken its own record. Delhi Metro Rail Corp (DMRC) announced on Tuesday that an unprecedented 71.03 lakh passengers traveled by the Delhi Metro rail service the previous day, surpassing an earlier record scaled on August 29.

The latest milestone, touched on September 4, marks the highest number of passengers commuting by the Delhi Metro service, which connects the country’s national capital with satellite cities, in a single day. Prior to Monday, the highest number of Delhi Metro passengers was recorded on August 29 at 69.94 lakh, and on August 28 at 68.16 lakh
