Contract Labour awarded at Steel Melting Shop-II of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant for exemplary efforts

In an award function organized on 14th January, 2025 at the Steel Melting Shop-2 (SMS-2) Conference Hall of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), four contract labour of different agencies were awarded under Instant Recognition Scheme for their commendable efforts in their respective work places. Mr. T P Sivshankar, CGM (SMS-2) presided over the function and presented awards to the contract labour. Mr. Ajit Kumar Das, GM In Charge, SMS-2 (Operation), Mr. M G Shrikanth, GM IN Charge, SMS-2 (Mechanical), Mr. P Pranaya, GM IN-Charge, SMS-2 (Electrical), Mr. G R Das, GM (HR-CLC, T & M), Mr. Debashish Pattnaik, AGM (HR), many other senior officers were present on the occasion.

The recipients included 2 contract labour from Messers Ankita Construction and one each  from Messers Jamipol and Messers Sharma Transport.  The contract labour from Messers Ankita Construction were awarded for their commendable efforts in housekeeping of the Converter area while the contract labour from Messers Jamipol was awarded for the revival of the system in the DS Unit after a recent breakdown. Similarly an Operator from Messers Sharma Transport was awarded for his dedicated efforts during the strike period of FSNL which helped in the smooth operation of the critical equipments.

Mr. P K Nayak, Manager (SMS-2) coordinated the function.
