CONCOR Unveils Green & Future-Ready Logistics Vision at ET Infra Leadership Summit 2025

New Delhi. CMD, Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), Shri Sanjay Swarup delivered the keynote address at the Inaugural Session of The Economic Times Infra Leadership Summit 2025, organised by ET Infra in New Delhi. The summit, centred on the theme “Building Future through Environmental, Social, and Governance Strategies,” brought together prominent leaders shaping India’s next-generation infrastructure ecosystem.

In his address, Shri Swarup outlined CONCOR’s strategic roadmap for building a sustainable, technology-driven and customer-centric logistics network across the country. He highlighted CONCOR’s extensive operational footprint, covering around 200 locations, including 66 terminals, supported by world-class logistics facilities, multi-type warehouses and modern cold storage infrastructure.

Showcasing the company’s robust asset base, he shared that CONCOR currently operates more than 400 rakes, with a clear plan to expand the fleet to 500 rakes by 2030. The container fleet is also set for significant augmentation, from 56,000 units to 70,000 units over the next three years. CONCOR’s growing presence along the Dedicated Freight Corridors, with four terminals already operational, is further boosting efficient and faster cargo movement.

Emphasising sustainability, Shri Swarup highlighted the deployment of LNG-powered trailers for cleaner first- and last-mile connectivity, supported by the country’s first LNG station at Khatuwas and an upcoming second station at Dadri. The company is also adopting Electric Vehicles and Electric Reach Stackers to progressively reduce carbon emissions across operations.

He also outlined CONCOR’s partnership-led initiatives with Indian Railways, including the development of the Integrated Logistics Hub at Sonik, aimed at enabling seamless multimodal logistics solutions.

Reaffirming the organisation’s commitment, Shri Swarup said that CONCOR will continue to drive sustainable, technology-enabled and customer-oriented logistics transformation to support India’s growing trade and economic ambitions.
