  • Ankit death case: Kejri promises kin all legal help

    City Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday assured Ankit’s family of all legal help, a 23-year-old professional photographer, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend’s family.

    During his meeting with the parents of the victim, the chief minister expressed grief over the horrific incident, spokesperson said.

    “Our CM has also promised all legal help in punishing the culprits, along with best medical treatment to Ankit's mother who fell ill after Ankit’s demise," he further added.

    His girlfriend's family was against her relationship with the Ankit, a photographer who belonged to different communities.

    All accused, girl’s father, mother and uncle have been arrested in connection with the murder and her minor brother has been apprehended.

    City BJP chief Manoj Tiwari also visited to the family on Saturday had asked about the CM’s silence in the  matter after which CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that he had spoken to father of the victim.


  • Completion of 3 years of Arvind Kejriwal govt, 62% of survey says he failed to meet expectations

    On February 14 which is also known for Valentine's day is also a day which saw Arvind Kejriwal as chief minister of Delhi with much fanfare and sky high expectations three years ago. 

    After the grand success in Delhi over last three years, the AAP today wrote on twitter: When slum dwellers, labourers, farmers, traders all feel that the government works for them, you know it is an Aam Aadmi government.

    However only 38% people said that AAM Aadmi govt met and fulfilled the expectation that it promised during 49 day tenure in 2013-14

    Whereas, majority of people have given credits to AAP govt for improving health care, water supply and education system in Delhi. On the other hand pollution control become major problem for Kejriwal govt.

    59% said that kejriwal govt has succeeded in lessen the corruption in Delhi, while 61% felt that AAP was tough on corruption.

    Around 55% said that healthcare services improved and 58% talked about the improvisation of education sector.

    The AAP govt based on survey has done well except for two issues pollution control and corruption. The AAP government has two years to make amends before it seeks reelection in 2020.

  • Mishra’s surprise visit to Kejriwal's house

    New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal got a surprise visit from sacked minister Kapil Mishra and his supporters, who wanted to meet the CM and give him a list of demands. The demands included resignation of Kejriwal and his Health Minister Satyendra Jain, at whom Mishra has been targeting with allegations of being corrupt. Mishra was not able to enter as he was insisting to be a part of Kejriwals Janta Darbar, with all the people who supported him. The police said, that Mishra wanted to take all of his 25 supporters inside with him, we had told him that he could take five of them, but he was reluctant and declined that.
