  • AAP govt consider giving city students reservations in city universities

    New Delhi: Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has asked the Education Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia to explore if 80% reservation could be given to Delhi students in Delhi government aided colleges.Sisodia was also asked by Kejriwal, if 80% of guest teachers could be inducted from the NCR, with recruitment being conducted to appoint 9,000 teachers, which would provide jobs to the people of Delhi. Interacting with volunteers, Kejriwal mentioned measures taken by his government, majorly in the health and education sectors and motivated them to popularize the AAP’s schemes.

  • AAP MLAs protest in Raj Bhavan for 7 hours over pending Mohalla Clinic Bill

    On the ‘Mohalla Clinic Bill’, a renewed battle has started in the Kejriwal government and Deputy Governor Anil Baijal. On Wednesday, about 40 MLAs of Aam Aadmi Party, reached Raj Bhavan and demanded Deputy Governor to sign the bill. These MLAs say that they will not go to the Raj Bhavan until the Deputy Governor Anil Baijal does not sign on the ‘Mohalla Clinic Bill’. After about 7 hours of conflict, MLAs were taken out of the Raj Bhavan on late evening. Earlier Deputy Governor Anil Baijal refused to sign on this ambitious project of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

    Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on this issue, “There shud be no politics wid Moh Clinics. It involves health of 2 cr Delhiites. LG must clear file immediately now.” Kejriwal further said that the delay in the bill is causing the loss of the public. The Deputy Governor should call everyone and try to resolve the deadlock on this issue. If the Deputy Governor wishes, then I am ready to come to the Raj Bhavan with my ministers.

  • AAP to contest next year Assembly Election in Madhya Pradesh


    New Delhi: On Wednesday AAP declared, the next year’s Assembly Election would be contested in the BJP ruled Madhya Pradesh. At a press conference ,AAP state Convener Alok agarwal told a reporter”The AAP would contest next assembly polls in MP. Arvind Kejriwal would formally launch the poll campaign at a rally in Bhopal on 5th November.”

  • Ankit death case: Kejri promises kin all legal help

    City Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday assured Ankit’s family of all legal help, a 23-year-old professional photographer, who was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend’s family.

    During his meeting with the parents of the victim, the chief minister expressed grief over the horrific incident, spokesperson said.

    “Our CM has also promised all legal help in punishing the culprits, along with best medical treatment to Ankit's mother who fell ill after Ankit’s demise," he further added.

    His girlfriend's family was against her relationship with the Ankit, a photographer who belonged to different communities.

    All accused, girl’s father, mother and uncle have been arrested in connection with the murder and her minor brother has been apprehended.

    City BJP chief Manoj Tiwari also visited to the family on Saturday had asked about the CM’s silence in the  matter after which CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted that he had spoken to father of the victim.

  • Completion of 3 years of Arvind Kejriwal govt, 62% of survey says he failed to meet expectations

    On February 14 which is also known for Valentine's day is also a day which saw Arvind Kejriwal as chief minister of Delhi with much fanfare and sky high expectations three years ago. 

    After the grand success in Delhi over last three years, the AAP today wrote on twitter: When slum dwellers, labourers, farmers, traders all feel that the government works for them, you know it is an Aam Aadmi government.

    However only 38% people said that AAM Aadmi govt met and fulfilled the expectation that it promised during 49 day tenure in 2013-14

    Whereas, majority of people have given credits to AAP govt for improving health care, water supply and education system in Delhi. On the other hand pollution control become major problem for Kejriwal govt.

    59% said that kejriwal govt has succeeded in lessen the corruption in Delhi, while 61% felt that AAP was tough on corruption.

    Around 55% said that healthcare services improved and 58% talked about the improvisation of education sector.

    The AAP govt based on survey has done well except for two issues pollution control and corruption. The AAP government has two years to make amends before it seeks reelection in 2020.

  • Cops detained AAP leader for sealing drive

    City Police on Monday detained Aap Aadmi Party leader after lathi charged, during their 'Parliament March' as a protest against the sealing campaign by Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD).

    Answering to the Police action, AAP MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj tweeted that MLAs and MCD councilors were protesting against sealing by MCD and Police beat up the female volunteers of AAP.

    Senior AAP leaders including Ashutosh and Dilip Pandey have been detained from the situation.

    PM’s police attacked elected MLAs, councilors and women protestors were protesting against the BJP action of sealing shops in various markets in the Capital. Are elected representatives treated such way, elsewhere in India? Tweeted Nagendra Sharma, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

    The sealing drive is being carried out by a Supreme Court-appointed Monitoring Committee against business establishments using residential properties for commercial purposes, and it is being implemented by the three BJP-led municipal corporations.

    Saurabh Bharadwaj told media, BJP is solely responsible for the sealing drive for the past two months.

    He also added that the Central government will have to change Master Plan 2021 for Delhi to put stoppage to the sealing drive, reports IANS.

    New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal got a surprise visit from sacked minister Kapil Mishra and his supporters, who wanted to meet the CM and give him a list of demands. The demands included resignation of Kejriwal and his Health Minister Satyendra Jain, at whom Mishra has been targeting with allegations of being corrupt. Mishra was not able to enter as he was insisting to be a part of Kejriwals Janta Darbar, with all the people who supported him. The police said, that Mishra wanted to take all of his 25 supporters inside with him, we had told him that he could take five of them, but he was reluctant and declined that.
