Coal India organized a workshop on Environment and Sustainability at our corporate headquarters in Kolkata, which featured enriching discussions centered on the company’s ongoing green initiatives and its long-term commitment to sustainable practices. Coal India Chairman, Shri P.M. Prasad, underscored the importance of sustainability and environmental responsibility, reinforcing the company’s dedication to these critical issues. Shri Achyut Ghatak, Director of Technical Services, set the tone for the event by emphasizing Coal India’s pivotal role in promoting sustainable practices within the industry.
During the workshop, Dr. Rakesh Singh delivered insightful presentations on “Mine Reclamation” and “Pollution Control in Coal Mines—Challenges in Implementation.” The event was well-attended by key members of our leadership team, including Director (Business Development) Shri Debasish Nanda, Director (Marketing) Shri Mukesh Choudhary, Director (Finance) Mukesh Agrawal, and CVO Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy.
