Noida: Cop steps on live wire and dies

New Delhi :In an unfortunate incident in Greater Noida, a 28-year-old cop was electrocuted as he stepped on a live wire. He was deployed as a gunner of the Samajwadi Party.Constable Anuj Batar,  was critically injured when he entered Bismil Park while talking on the phone and stepped on the wire of a submersible water pump.

ATDC Noida, Organises Awareness programme on Skill Development, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and Road Safety

Noida: Apparel Training and Design Centre, Noida and Noida Apparel Export Cluster jointly organized – “As a Responsible Citizen Initiative on awareness of Skill Development, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan and Road Safety”. The march started today at 8.30 AM, at ATDC Noida. The campaign was launched in the auspicious presence of Chief Guest, Dr. Mahesh Sharma - honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Govt. of India, Sh. Anil Kumar Jha (PPS), SP-Traffic, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP, Mr. Lalit Thukral - Chairman NAEC & ATDC Convener, UP State and Dr. Darlie Koshy - Director General & CEO, ATDC.

The aim of launching the campaign is to educate people about cleanliness and sanitation under the Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, organize Road Safety Programs through road safety march and regulation of traffic and to make aware the disadvantaged and unemployed youth about job oriented Skill based Training and huge opportunities in Apparel Sector.Students Of ATDC At The Time Of Road Safety March

The campaign included pledging ceremony by around 200 students of ATDC for Swatch Bharat Abhiyan & Road Safety followed by road safety march for the same. ATDC students regulated traffic in the presence of traffic police and also educated vehicle drivers to follow traffic rules. They participated in cleaning Sector 12/22 and performed Nukkad Natak for the skill training awareness.  The participants were spotted wearing T-shirts with the ATDC logo, sponsored by Noida Apparel Export Cluster.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma, honourable Minister of Ministry of Tourism and Culture Govt. of India said, “I wish you all the best wishes and congratulations that all of you have followed your social responsibility on Clean India Campaign and Road Safety Campaign and organized this program for promoting them. All of you are giving your contribution as a youth power in this crusade. I remember when the use of polyethene was banned. My daughter had told me that now onwards we will not use polyethylene at all. Today when I am looking at all my blessed daughters here, my mind is happy that they are giving their profound support in every sector.”

Simultaneously, he thanked Lalit Thukral for the successful participation of ATDC in the Cleanliness drive of the Prime Minister and said that as a social worker, he has been supporting these social problems, whether serious or small.

He said, “Today when these problems have spread all over the society, through these small efforts only can we achieve success and make our city and country - clean and safe. Move one step forward and the world will follow itself.”

Dr. Darlie Koshy - Director General & CEO, ATDC said “We at ATDC, have imparted Skills to nearly 2 Lakh Candidates under the ISDS, MOT, GOI, and have transformed lives by providing gainful employment to youth, and disadvantaged section of the society. This event reflected our resolve of skilling the youth, and making them responsible citizens ready for the future. ”

ATDC is playing a key role in evangelizing skills like a religion in India and making the youth a job-ready & professional workforce through “SKILL EXCELLENCE’’, so that, they can make India a manufacturing hub in order to fulfill PM's vision of 'Make in India'. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Lalit Thukral – Chairman, NAEC & ATDC Convener, UP State said, “With our own persistent activities, we have to make these causes widespread & successful and move forward with them. The oath that was sworn today should not only be in name and our head, we should act on it and try to be responsible citizens. Whether around our workplaces, home or anywhere, we should always give our best in maintaining cleanliness and regulating traffic.”

The event witnessed participation from a huge number of the city’s youth. The spectators excitedly cheered up for the participants and boosted up their energy. Everything was well coordinated by the Noida Police and the volunteers. Appreciation from the audience marked a successful end to the event.

Silence and fear in the air after techie murdered in Noida Sector 62

Noida: Fear and shock filled the air in Shatabdi Rail Vihar, Greater Noida , Sector 62 a day after the dramatic murder of Anjali Rathoure came to light. Hazy CCTV footage from the early hours of Wednesday captured an unidentifiable man chasing her down in the parking lot and shooting her point-blank. The police suspects Ashwini Yadav , the victim’s former classmate as there were two calls from his number just before the victim came down to the parking lot where she was shot on the 31st of May. The society members plan to get done with PG system altogether and said that they had very less interaction with the PG girl. Meanwhile, everyone in the society is scared to even step out.
