Members of the Senior Citizen Rejuvenation Centre, DLF Phase-2 and interns of Dignity Foundation joined hands to put up a scintillating performance as a part of Junoon- the art and culture project of DLF Foundation being held in Cyber Hub, Gurugram. The interns of Dignity Foundation performed a Flash Mob which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The members of Dignity Foundation in collaboration with Global Cultural Foundation and Sargam group revived the nostalgia of the yesteryears by singing old songs ranging from Kissi ki ‘Muskurahaton pe ho nissar’ to ‘Saathi Haath Badhana’.
They even grooved to famous dance numbers Sar Par Topi Lal and Aao Twsit Karein. An NGO for Children named Teach by Media also participated in the event. Senior citizens are a valuable asset to the society. The objective of this initiative was to acknowledge their contribution towards society and ensure their overall well-being. It is heartening to note that they were thoroughly rejuvenated and the event was a big success due to their involvement, participation and enthusiasm,” said Colonel Prakash Tiwari, Executive Director, DLF Foundation. “We were delighted to be a part of Junoon. Moreover, it received an overwhelming response. Junoon is indeed a noble initiative encompassing participation from all age groups,” said Madhu Gupta, a senior citizen.
Junoon, a socio-cultural project of DLF Foundation aims is to provide a platform to budding performers to showcase their talent. The event held every Saturday at Amphitheatre, Cyber Hub, enables people of all age groups from across Delhi-NCR to showcase their talent in activities like music, dance, plays, theatre, laughter club activities, fashion show and the like. The project is scheduled to go on until March 2018.
