										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eight General Managers of SAIL, Rourkela Streel Plant (RSP) have been promoted to the rank of Chief General Managers. Mr. Basant Kumar Singh, has been promoted as CGM (F&amp;A), Mr. Dipak Kumar Yadav has been posted as CGM (HSM) at BSL, Bokaro, Mr. Hafik Kumar Say, has been given the responsibility of CGM (Internal Audit), Mr. Pavan Gupta, has been posted as CGM (Projects), Mr. Pramod Chandra Dash, has been elevated as CGM (Environment), Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, has now become CGM (Blast Furnaces), Mr. Suvendu Kumar Behera, has been posted as CGM (Automation) at BSL, Bokaro and Dr. Megharay Majhi, has been promoted as CMO (M&amp;HS).</p>
<p>The promotion orders were presented to them by Mr. Tarun Misra, ED(HR) at a ceremony held at Manthan Conference Hall, on 6th August, 2026.   Present on the occasion were Mr. B K Giri, ED (MD-CMLO), Mr. Biswaranjan Palai, ED (Works), Mr. Sudip Pal Chowdhury, ED (Projects), Dr. Jayanta Kumar Acharya, CMO In-Charge (M&amp;HS), Mr. Rajesh Dasgupta, CGM (F&amp;A) with additional charge of ED (F&amp;A) and other senior officers of the plant. The newly promoted CGMs were accompanied by their spouses.</p>
<p>Congratulating the newly promoted Senior Officers, tMr. Misra said, “CGM promotion is regarded as one of the toughest promotions and with this promotion the Company has entrusted you with a much bigger responsibility.” He also appreciated each of the promoted CGMs by sharing personal experiences with all of them. The other Senior Officers also congratulated the newly promoted CGMs and wished them a bright future in the organisation. The ED HR also gifted them a book along with the sweet boxes and promotion orders.</p>
<p>The promoted executives present on the occasion, responded enthusiastically and assured that they would make every possible effort to better the performance of the Steel Plant. Mr. Vigyan Patra, Deputy Manager (HR-OD) anchored the programme while Mr. Rakesh Verma, GM (HR-OD &amp; L&amp;D) coordinated the event.</p>

On a consolidated basis, the company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹3,598 crore and Total Income of ₹11,697 crore, while incurring ₹7,765 crore in capital expenditure.</p>
<p>Maintaining an average system availability of 99.80%, POWERGRID&#8217;s network reached 1,86,595 ckm of transmission lines and 291 substations. Key highlights include securing a JPY 80 billion JBIC loan for the Khavda-Nagpur HVDC project, winning five transmission projects under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), and acquiring India’s first Synchronous Condenser TBCB scheme in July 2026 to support renewable energy integration.</p>

<p>The facility was inaugurated by Shri Atul Gupta, CMD, EIL, alongside Shri Sanjay Jindal, Director (Finance), and Shri R.K. Singh, Director (HR).</p>
<p>The center will train 300 underprivileged women annually in tailoring, embroidery, and garment finishing using industry-standard machinery. Upon completion, certified participants will gain market-relevant skills to boost their employment and self-employment prospects.</p>

<p>The partnership focuses on technical knowledge sharing, skill development, feasibility studies, and capacity building. Highlighting the initiative, Minister Naidu emphasized the government&#8217;s &#8220;Make in India&#8221; vision for indigenous seaplane manufacturing, supported by Union Budget 2026 incentives, Viability Gap Funding (VGF), and dedicated Seaplane Operations Guidelines.</p>
