· Sales value stays flat at Rs 1.48 lakh crore in 2025

· Sales of homes priced under Rs 1 cr dips 15% YoY & that above Rs 1 cr up 9%YoY

National | February 12, 2026: With housing sales value remaining flat at ₹1.48 lakh crore across the top 15 tier-2 cities in 2025, sales volumes declined 10% YoY to 1,56,181 units, reflecting rising housing prices and increasing premiumisation, according to NSE-listed real estate data analytics firm PropEquity.

Except for Mohali and Lucknow, which saw growth in sales volume of 34% and 6% YoY respectively, the other 13 cities saw a decline up to 38% with Visakhapatnam witnessing the maximum fall.

The report further added the growing shift towards high-ticket housing can be ascertained from the fact that homes priced under Rs 1 crore saw 15% YoY decline in volumes in 2025 with its share dipping to 72% from 77% in 2024. Similarly, homes priced above ₹1 crore witnessed 9% growth in sales with its share rising to 28% from 23% in 2024.

Going forward, beginning 2026, Ahmedabad can be regarded as a tier-1 city, having surpassed several established tier-1 markets in both housing launches and absorption. With its scale of development and depth of demand, the city now rightfully merits inclusion among India’s tier-1 urban centres.

In absolute terms, the four cities of Gujarat, namely Ahmedabad, Gandhi Nagar, Vadodara and Surat, together accounted for 63% of the total sales in top 15 tier 2 cities, with Ahmedabad alone contributing 33% with 51,148 units sold.

Samir Jasuja, Founder & CEO of PropEquity, said, “The slowdown in housing sales over the past two years is largely due to a shrinking supply of homes priced below ₹1 crore-a segment that has traditionally driven demand in tier-2 cities. Rising land and construction costs, along with changing buyer aspirations, are pushing new launches into higher price brackets. As a result, tier-2 markets are increasingly mirroring tier-1 cities, where volumes are declining even as prices continue to rise.”

Jasuja added, Government focus on tier-2 cities—through enhanced urban development, improved connectivity, and the creation of industrial corridors and manufacturing hubs-has driven sustained price appreciation. This has pushed even average housing units in many tier-2 markets beyond the ₹1 crore mark, leading to slower absorption. Going forward, this trend could be a cause for concern, as affordability pressures begin to impact not just premium segments but also affordable and mid-income housing in these cities.

Mumbai, February 12, 2026: WeWork India Management Limited (“WeWork India”), one of India’s leading premium flexible workspace operators, has rolled out a high-impact, design-led out-of-home (OOH) campaign across Gurugram, ahead of the launch of WeWork Atrium Place, its latest enterprise-focused workspace in Udyog Vihar. The campaign went live in the first week of January, and leverages innovative, large-format OOH executions across key enterprise corridors to engage senior leadership, enterprise teams, and large organisations during peak commute hours.

Deployed across four high-visibility locations – Sikanderpur, Golf Course Road, outside DLF Cyber Hub, and outside Ambience Mall (NH-8), the campaign reimagines OOH as large-scale, design-led installations rather than traditional billboards. Each 26×13-foot execution is conceived as a bold visual statement, using bespoke, custom-built formats to introduce depth, dimension, and architectural character into the cityscape. Backlit extended structures, sculptural acrylic lettering, and illuminated box elements come together to create a striking, elevated presence for the brand across Gurugram’s key enterprise corridors.

Rooted in a strong design-first approach, the executions are crafted to command attention at speed without visual clutter. Clean layouts, restrained messaging, and premium material choices ensure clarity while allowing the formats themselves to do the talking. Designed for high-speed arterial roads, the creatives balance immediacy with elegance, delivering impact in seconds while maintaining a confident, enterprise-first visual language.

Commenting on the campaign, Debosmita Majumder, Chief Marketing Officer, WeWork India, said, “OOH works best when it sits at the intersection of context and attention. For the launch of WeWork Atrium Place, we focused on enterprise corridors where senior leaders and decision-makers are already primed to engage during their daily commute. Every element, from the scale and premium formats to the launch-led storytelling, has been designed to command attention without being intrusive, while reinforcing a clean, confident, enterprise-first brand language.”

The OOH rollout forms part of a larger, integrated building launch initiative, amplified through digital media, social platforms, influencer collaborations, and owned channels to ensure consistent visibility across enterprise touchpoints. The selected sites sit within Gurugram’s most established business districts, delivering high repeat exposure among enterprise professionals and sustained brand recall within the natural catchment area of WeWork Atrium Place.

The campaign was conceptualised in-house by the WeWork India team, with execution delivered in partnership with OAP India. Located within DLF Atrium Place in Udyog Vihar, WeWork Atrium Place offers enterprise-grade workspaces designed for large organisations navigating the evolving future of work.

NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in partnership with the All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT), has launched the ‘Kaushal Rath’—a mobile Artificial Intelligence awareness initiative under the National AI Literacy programme, Yuva AI for All. Flagged off from India Gate by Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT Jitin Prasada, the fully equipped mobile unit functions as a digital classroom with internet-enabled computers, audio-visual tools and structured AI training modules. It will travel to schools, colleges, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and community spaces, particularly in semi-urban and underserved regions, to provide hands-on exposure to AI and Generative AI tools through trained facilitators and India-specific use cases. The initiative aims to democratise foundational AI education and ensure inclusive digital capacity building across the country.

The Yuva AI for All course is a four-hour, self-paced programme comprising six modules that cover AI fundamentals, ethics and real-world applications, requiring no prior coding knowledge. Participants receive certification upon completion. According to MeitY, the initiative aligns with the IndiaAI Mission, where skilling is one of seven core pillars, and combines instructor-led training, micro- and nano-credentials, and nationwide outreach. Launched in collaboration with partners such as Future Skills Prime, iGOT Karmayogi, Coursera and TCS iON, the programme also serves as a precursor to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled from February 16–20 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Positioned as the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South, the event will focus on translating AI discussions into development-oriented outcomes under the themes of People, Planet and Progress.

Emphasising value-driven leadership, she underscored the importance of integrity, empathy and fairness, and called for courage and accountability in decision-making. Highlighting a people-centric approach, Dr Mittal urged leaders to listen actively, broaden their perspective from operational to organisational thinking, and align personal vision with institutional goals. She also noted CBC’s collaboration with DPE, SCOPE and PSU leadership to develop a strategic HR ecosystem aligned with national development goals.

Advising emerging leaders, Dr Mittal stressed continuous learning, resilience, authentic communication and building a strong values-based leadership identity, stating that leadership is defined by influence and impact rather than titles.
