NEW DELHI. The Ministry of Defence has signed a ?1,950 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for two advanced Mountain Radar systems for the Indian Air Force. Signed in New Delhi on March 31, 2026, the project falls under the Buy (Indian–IDDM) category, supporting Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. The radars will enhance air defence in high-altitude regions and include manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning.
