Bengaluru, 22nd December 2025: With the rapid expansion of digital banking and online transactions, cyber fraud has emerged as a key consumer protection challenge across the financial ecosystem. Reinforcing its commitment to customer education and safety, Bank of Baroda (Bank) has been strengthening its efforts to help customers identify fraud attempts early and safeguard themselves.
A key pillar of the Bank’s outreach is its popular ‘PehchaanCon’ cyber safety awareness campaign, which uses informative and engaging videos to emphasize the message that being alert, vigilant and being able to recognise a fraud or fraudster, are critical to protecting one’s confidential financial information and ensuring a safe and secure digital banking experience. The videos cover a variety of real-life scenarios to drive home the message that fraudsters use a range of evolving methods to try and deceive people.
In addition, Bank of Baroda’s ‘Stay Wise, Act Wise’ digital awareness campaign encourages customers to be vigilant against cyber fraud. Through regular advisories and safe banking tips, the campaign empowers customers to stay informed, act cautiously and take preventive action against cyber fraud.
As part of these efforts, Bank of Baroda has further strengthened its public advisories to alert customers about emerging and evolving cyber threats. The Bank has issued a public notice cautioning customers about fake and misleading advertisements that misuse the Bank’s name, logo, and images of senior executives to lure customers with fraudulent offers. The Bank has reiterated that it does not seek customers’ personal details, card information, OTPs or login credentials. It advises customers not to click on suspicious links, download unknown apps, or share any sensitive information and to rely only on Bank of Baroda’s official website, verified communication channels, branches, or contact centre for authentic information.
Through timely advisories, clear customer guidance, and public awareness initiatives, Bank of Baroda continues to take proactive steps to strengthen cyber safety and empower customers to transact securely in the digital ecosystem.
