The Annual Chess Selection Trial of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) for Under-15 and Open category began on 17th June, 2025 at Biju Pattnaik Hockey Stadium, Sector-5. 92 participants in Under-15 category and 24 participants in Open category are taking part in the trials which will conclude on 22nd June, 2025.
A panel of players will be selected from the selection trial to represent RSP in the Inter District and Inter Steel Championship. Mr. Prakash Sahoo, Junior Manager (RMHP) is the Arbiter for the trials. Mr. Raghu Nandan Padhy, Deputy Manager (Sports) along with the Sports Department team is coordinating the event.
