NEW DELHI. Shri Alok Kumar, IAS (Retd.), Director General of the All India Discoms Association (AIDA), has been appointed as the honorary Co-Chairman of the Bharat Electricity Council for 2026. With extensive experience in power distribution reforms and DISCOM transformation, his appointment is expected to strengthen dialogue and drive actionable changes across India’s energy sector.
