New Delhi, November 17, 2025: Riding the surge of pickleball’s rise across the globe, the Indian Pickleball League (IPBL), the country’s first official pickleball league, has partnered with the Adani Group, which joins as the Powered By partner ahead of the inaugural season. The collaboration brings together IPBL’s dynamic league format and Adani’s proven sporting expertise, reflecting a shared commitment to accelerating the sport’s growth on a national scale.
Launched by The Times Group and recognised as India’s official and only national pickleball league sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the IPBL will debut from December 1–7, 2025, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi, showcasing city-based teams and top Indian and global talent in a fast, competitive, and television-friendly format.
With pickleball emerging as one of the world’s most exciting participation-led sports, the association with Adani reinforces IPBL’s vision of shaping a new, contemporary sporting property rooted in accessibility, energy, and a growing fanbase, at a time when India itself is fast establishing its presence as a rising force on the worldwide stage.
Speaking on the partnership, Sameer Pathak, President – Pickleball World Rankings (A Times Group Company), said: “We are delighted to welcome on board the Adani Group for IPBL’s debut season. Their dedication to nurturing Indian sport aligns with our ambition to scale pickleball with the structure, visibility, and ambition it deserves. Together, we aim to elevate the sport’s journey and set the stage for a league that reflects the energy and potential of a new India.”
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, added: “The Adani Group is proud to support the debut edition of the Indian Pickleball League. Pickleball is among India’s fastest-growing sports, and our association reflects our commitment to nurturing emerging talent and building world-class sporting ecosystems. We believe the IPBL has immense potential to scale nationwide and inspire a new generation of athletes.”
The Adani Group has long been focused on strengthening India’s sporting landscape by building grassroots systems, nurturing young talent, and creating pathways that help athletes progress to national recognition. With IPBL introducing a fresh, competitive league format for one of India’s fastest-growing sports, the partnership brings two aligned missions together: Adani’s commitment to developing sport at the foundation level and IPBL’s drive to elevate pickleball, combining to deliver an experience that amplifies the sport’s growing momentum nationwide.
Pickleball’s rise in India is being matched by its growing international presence. Team India’s historic run at the Pickleball World Cup 2025 in Florida—bringing home 25 medals (8 Gold, 8 Silver, 9 Bronze) and finishing 7th overall as the only Asian nation in the top 10—has accelerated the sport’s momentum nationwide.
Stepping in at this pivotal moment, the Indian Pickleball League, powered by its partnership with the Adani Group, enters its debut season with conviction and purpose. Together, they aim to elevate one of India’s fastest-growing sports and deliver a league experience that is aspirational, modern, and built for today’s India, while contributing to a long-term ecosystem that strengthens the sport’s national presence.
