NEW DELHI. The government has said that 70,000 rural youth across States and Union Territories will be provided skill training from next month under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0. The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme providing placement-linked skill training to poor rural youth. The duration of the training varies from three months to 12 months. The Rural Development Ministry said that all 31 participating States and UTs have been allocated more than nine lakh targets under the scheme for two years period.
