AMRIT Pharmacy ECL Sanctoria Hospital

Sanctoria (Asansol), September 12, 2026: Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Shri Satish Jha inaugurated an AMRIT Pharmacy at Sanctoria Hospital today, marking an important step towards strengthening healthcare support for ECL employees and people residing in the surrounding areas.

AMRIT (Affordable Medicines and Reliable Implants for Treatment) Pharmacy, operated by HLL Lifecare Limited, a Government of India healthcare products manufacturing company under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will make quality medicines, surgical items and medical implants available at substantially discounted prices.

The facility will particularly benefit serving ECL employees by providing cashless access to medicines, as per applicable provisions. It will also benefit members of the general public residing in the peripheral areas around Sanctoria by providing affordable access to essential medicines and medical supplies, reducing the financial burden on patients and their families.

During the inauguration, CMD Shri Satish Jha interacted with the AMRIT Pharmacy team, doctors and medical staff of Sanctoria Hospital, as well as patients. He emphasised the importance of ensuring the availability of medicines, maintaining quality standards and extending patient-friendly healthcare services.
The CMD also discussed with doctors the need to strengthen healthcare support for employees, their families and the surrounding community, emphasising that initiatives such as the AMRIT Pharmacy should translate into tangible benefits for patients.

The inauguration programme was graced by Director (HR), ECL, Shri Gunjan Kumar Sinha, and attended by senior officers of ECL, Heads of Departments from various departments and employees of Sanctoria Hospital.

The establishment of the AMRIT Pharmacy reflects ECL’s continued commitment to employee welfare and community-oriented healthcare initiatives, bringing affordable medicines and medical supplies within easier reach of employees, their families and people residing in the peripheral areas of Sanctoria.
