PM Modi Announces Fast-Track Courts For Paper Leak Cases, Warns Offenders Of Strict Action

PM Modi fast-track courts for paper leak cases

NEW DELHI. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Thursday that the Central Government will set up fast-track courts to ensure rapid trials and stringent punishment for individuals involved in examination paper leaks. Warning that those jeopardizing the future of the nation’s youth will not be spared, the Prime Minister emphasized that protecting students’ interests remains the government’s highest priority. He directed concerned officials to immediately take all necessary procedural steps to implement these measures as part of an ongoing effort to reform the examination system.

The announcement follows Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda’s outreach to address ongoing student grievances, where he held discussions with representatives of protesting groups and appealed to activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike. Reaffirming the Centre’s readiness to engage with all stakeholders in a cordial atmosphere, Nadda requested representatives to submit their specific concerns in writing. He stressed that paper leaks represent a critical national issue that should not be politicized, urging Parliament to serve as the primary forum for deliberating long-term legislative remedies.
