The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has achieved major recognition at the national level, winning three awards at the IRSTE Convention 2026 for its innovations in signaling, safety, and passenger technology. DMRC was honored for CBTC Implementation, Excellence in Signaling Installation and Testing, and Excellence in AI-powered Passenger Experience and Smart Mobility Systems. Notably, its advanced Communication-Based Train Control technology enabled India’s first fully automated, driverless train operations on the Magenta Line. The awards also celebrate DMRC’s high-quality signaling execution during recent extensions, alongside its sophisticated Automatic Fare Collection ecosystem, which integrates Unified Payments Interface payment options and virtual smart cards to deliver a highly advanced digital ticketing experience.
