BILASPUR. South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) to strengthen coal logistics and rail transportation infrastructure across the country. The MoU was signed in New Delhi in the presence of Shri Harish Duhan, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of SECL, and Shri Santosh Sinha, Managing Director of CWC. The initiative marks a major step towards enhancing coal evacuation capacity and improving logistics efficiency under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal.
The collaboration aims to ensure uninterrupted coal supply to key sectors including power, steel, cement, and other core industries that are critical to the nation’s economy. Senior SECL officials present during the signing ceremony included Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Technical/Operations), Shri Darla Sunil Kumar, Director (Finance), Shri R. C. Mahapatra, Director (Technical/P&P), Shri Ashok Kumar Patnaik, General Manager (Siding), and Shri Ajit Chaudhary, General Manager (M&S) and Head of Department. The partnership is expected to significantly improve operational efficiency and strengthen India’s energy supply chain.
