NEW DELHI. A high-level delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) met with the newly appointed Tourism Secretary, Mr. Bhuvnesh Kumar, in New Delhi on May 13. Led by Tourism Committee Chair Mr. Anil Parashar, the team presented an ambitious calendar of events for the 2026–27 period. The meeting focused on key growth areas, including heritage, spiritual, film, and wedding tourism. The Secretary was also briefed on “Aanch 2.0,” a nationwide competition designed to showcase the talents of young chefs and hospitality students across India.
During the discussion, the delegation formally invited the Secretary to two major upcoming events: the 3rd Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave in Shirdi this June and the 15th International Heritage Tourism Conclave in Hyderabad this July. Mr. Kumar praised PHDCCI’s proactive efforts to boost the tourism and hospitality sectors and assured the Ministry’s full support for these initiatives. This collaboration aims to strengthen India’s position as a premier global travel destination through strategic events and skill-building programs.
