BONGAIGAON. NTPC Bongaigaon observed World Water Day by conducting a series of activities focused on water conservation and environmental sustainability. The event began with the pledge for responsible water usage, led by Shri Arnab Maitra, in the presence of senior officials, employees, and residents. A tree plantation drive was also organized in the township, involving staff and community members, symbolizing a commitment to a greener environment.
To raise awareness among the community, a drawing competition for school children was held at Salakati ME Government School, along with a quiz for employees on water conservation themes. Additionally, a poster-making contest was organized for employees’ spouses and children, encouraging creative expression on environmental protection. Shri Maitra emphasized the importance of collective efforts in conserving water to ensure a sustainable future, reaffirming NTPC’s dedication to environmental and community development.
