HPCL and Volvo Group Partner to Drive Sustainable Heavy-Duty Mobility in India

MUMBAI. HPCL and Volvo Group India have signed a landmark MoU to advance next-generation sustainable mobility by combining automotive expertise with energy leadership. This collaboration focuses on application-based R&D for LNG, bio-LNG, and hydrogen, alongside engine and battery evaluations and the development of refueling infrastructure specifically for heavy-duty trucking. As partners under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, the two organizations are pioneering India’s first 700-bar hydrogen solution for trucks, directly supporting the nation’s Net Zero goals and the vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”
