Delhi Metro’s engineers inspected the construction sites as well as the surrounding roads thoroughly and ensured that all construction materials were properly covered and the wheel wash facilities for outgoing vehicles were in working condition.

More such drives are being conducted across Delhi Metro’s sites taking into consideration the challenges posed by increasing pollution levels in the national capital. These drives are being conducted in addition to a number of measures already taken up by DMRC to handle the issue of pollution.

In total, over a hundred anti-smog guns have been installed at the construction sites, stations and office buildings to decrease dust levels. Daily inspections are being conducted by DMRC’s Environment depart to ensure that all environmental norms are adequately followed.

Delhi’s Hon’ble Chief Minister, Smt. Rekha Gupta has directed all agencies to ensure that all norms regarding the protection of environment are strictly adhered to. DMRC is also committed to following the norms with all seriousness and ensure complete compliance.
