PNB Signs MoU with Rajasthan Government to Support Rs 21,000 Crore Development Initiatives

Punjab National Bank (PNB), a leading public sector bank, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government to facilitate an investment of Rs 21,000 crore under the state’s ‘Rising Rajasthan’ initiative. The MoU aims to create a dedicated framework for financing eligible projects that align with Rajasthan’s ambitious development goals, thereby driving socio-economic progress across the state. Speaking at the occasion, PNB’s Managing Director and CEO,  Shri Ashok Chandra, expressed pride in supporting Rajasthan’s development journey, highlighting the bank’s extensive branch network, digital capabilities, and diverse product offerings.

Shri  Chandra emphasized that the agreement would accelerate socio-economic growth and further PNB’s national development mission. During his visit to Jaipur, Chandra inspected key branches and ATMs, interacted with customers through the ‘Customer Outreach Programme’, and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to digital banking and financial inclusion, emphasizing service excellence for its 18.5 crore customers. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also highlighted the significance of the MoU, describing it as a decisive step towards realizing the vision of a ‘Developed Rajasthan’ by providing essential financial support for various government projects. The signing, attended by senior officials including Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Gahlot, underscores the collaborative effort to align PNB’s financial services with Rajasthan’s developmental agenda.
