Dr. Lata Suresh, Head of the Knowledge Resources Centre at IIC, graced the Conference on Sustainable Indore, A Model for Cities Around the World, organized by UNAccc and the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) at Jaal Sabhagrah, Indore, as a Guest of Honour. The event was a significant platform for discussing innovative strategies for sustainable urban development, climate change adaptation, and building future-ready cities.
The conference saw the participation of esteemed leaders including Dr. Srikanta K. Panigrahi, DG of IISD as Chief Guest, along with notable speakers such as Shri Rajat Sharma, Shri Suresh Prabhu (via virtual), and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav. The event also featured the distribution of UNAccc Solar Induction Cooking Stoves to BPL women, which is projected to save approximately ?1,000,000 annually for 1,000 households, fostering sustainable living practices.
Dr. Suresh expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to contribute towards discussions aimed at making Indore a global benchmark for sustainability, envisioning a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future for cities worldwide.
