A Performance Enhancement Plan Workshop focusing on achieving production target of Armour Grade Plates by 300Tons per month to 500 Tons per month commenced on 17th June, 2025 at the Learning & Development Department of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP). Mr. P. K. Sahoo, CGM (HR-L&D), Mr. R K Bisare, CGM (NPM & SPP), and Dr. P K Padhi, GM In-Charge (SPP) were present on the opening session of the two-day workshop along with several other CGMs, HoDs, and senior officers from associated departments. It was attended by participants from key departments including Special Plate Plant (SPP), PPC, RCL, PM, NPM, Marketing and F&A.
In the opening session, Mr. B Mahato, Senior Manager (SPP), gave a comprehensive presentation covering current production status, the targets set and the challenges ahead for producing 500T/month armour grade plates.
Mr. S N Rao, DGM (F&A) discussed the current market and financial status of the armour grade plates.
The workshop includes detailed syndicate discussions, followed by action plan presentations. The concluding session on 18th May will involve a detailed review and finalization of the action plan.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. P K Padhi, while Mr. R K Bisare set the tone for the function. The workshop is being facilitated by Ms. Arnnapurna Behera, Senior Manager (HR-L&D), Mr. Shams Gazali, Manager, (SPP) and Mr. H. C. Panda, Junior Engineer (L&D).
