New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Power for the re-employment of Shri Gurdeep Singh as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NTPC Limited. He will continue on a contract basis for a period of one year beyond his date of superannuation, i.e., with effect from August 1, 2025, or until the assumption of charge by a regular incumbent, or until further orders—whichever is earlier.
The terms and conditions of his re-employment will be finalized by the Ministry of Power in consultation with the Department of Public Enterprises.
