The Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) North-East Roundtable was organised today at Shillong which was graced by Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs along with Shri Conrad K Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya. Bringing together interns engaged under the PMIS across the North-East, the event served as a platform for young participants to share their experiences and aspirations.
As part of the program, an exhibition was set up by NTPC and other organisations. Dignitaries visited the NTPC stall which showcased immersive AR/VR modules designed to familiarise students with power plant operations — a step reflecting NTPC’s commitment to advanced skill-building. NTPC’s active participation in PMIS demonstrates its dedication to nurturing the next generation through meaningful, tech-enabled industry exposure — supporting India’s mission to build a skilled, confident workforce for tomorrow.
