Pre-Retirement Employee Empowerment Workshop ‘Roshni’ held at SAIL, RSP

A Pre- retirement employee empowerment workshop ‘ROSHNI’ was held at CPTI Centre of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 11th June 2025.

A Pre- retirement employee empowerment workshop ‘ROSHNI’ was held at CPTI Centre of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 11th June 2025. Mr. Manas Ranjan Rath, CGM (HR) was the Chief Guest of the inaugural session. Mr. G R Dash, GM (HR- CLC, Town & Medical) was the Guest of Honour. 104 employees including CGMs and other executives of the plant and Odisha Group of Mines, who will be superannuating in the month of June 2025 attended the session.

The sessions at ‘Roshni’ encompassed a wide spectrum of topics crucial for a smooth retirement transition. Dr. Shivalkar, Assistant CMO (Medical) addressed health-related concerns and strategies for a healthier post-retirement life in the following session.

Matters related to Cyber Security issues were discussed by Mr. V P Arya, DGM (C&IT), where advantages of Internet in digital era was explained and insights were provided into the world of cyber threats and security for helping the participants to safeguard their digital presence.

In the session on Finance Mr. D K Dash, Deputy Manager (Finance & Accounts) dealt with procedures for smooth final settlement and effective finance management for ensuring stability in the later phase. Mr. Pappu Kumar, AGM (Finance & Accounts) talked about the Financial Security Planning.

To cope with the significant transition phase and lead a purposeful and proactive life, Mr. Babula Nahak, AGM (CP-II) deliberated on Positive Mindset preparation. The details of quarter vacation and retention policies within the organization were also discussed by M. H K Sahoo, Deputy Manager (Town Services).SAIL Mediclaim Scheme was addressed by Ms. Jyoti Oreya, AGM (HR-ER &C)

At the outset Mr. S P Majhi, Assistant Manager (HR-ER) welcomed the gathering while Ms. Jyoti Oreya , coordinated the programme along with Mr. K K Parida, Labour Inspector and the HR-ER team.

The aim of the ‘Roshni’ workshop is to prepare the retiring employees in a comprehensive manner to embrace retirement with positivity, enthusiasm and preparedness.
