NTPC Kaniha Enhances Independence for Differently Abled and Seniors through CSR Initiative

NTPC Kaniha has successfully organized a special distribution camp aimed at providing assistive living devices to differently abled individuals and senior citizens. The initiative, which distributed essential mobility aids such as tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, and blind canes, is set to significantly enhance the independence and quality of life for the beneficiaries.

The event was inaugurated by Shri A. K. Sehgal, Executive Director of NTPC Kaniha, who emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to social welfare. “We believe that these assistive devices will empower our beneficiaries by improving their mobility and overall well-being,” he stated during his address.

Joining him at the event were senior officials including Shri G. Mohakul, Chief Medical Officer, Shri Manoranjan Panigrahi, AGM (EMD & MTP), Smt. Sujita Rath, AGM (HR), and Shri Jitendra Kumar, Sr. Manager (HR), along with representatives from the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) and the NTPC CSR team.

This distribution camp followed a comprehensive disability assessment conducted in partnership with ALIMCO, ensuring that the assistance provided was tailored to the specific needs of the recipients.

Through such meaningful CSR interventions, NTPC Kaniha continues to promote an inclusive and empowered society, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to community development and support for those in need.
