Kutchina Foundation Marks 10 Years of Empowering Women Changemakers Across India

Kolkata, 17th March, 2025: Kutchina Foundation celebrated a decade of impact with “Decades of Development: 10 Years of Empowering Women”, a landmark event that brought together policymakers, grassroots leaders, and social reformers to honor the foundation’s journey in supporting women-led change was held at Offbeat Kolkata which was attended by: Dr. Andrew FlemingBritish Deputy High Commissioner to KolkataMr. Hugh BoylanConsul General of Australia in KolkataMs. Sudeshna RoyFilmmaker & Advisor to WB Commission for Child RightsMs. Alokananda RoyRenowned Social Reformer & ArtistMr. Namit BajoriaMD of KutchinaMrs. Nita BajoriaCreative Director of Kutchina & many other eminent personalities.

The highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of 26 Krittika Fellows – grassroots women leaders from 10 states-who have been driving transformation in key areas such as gender rights, climate resilience, education, livelihood generation, and social justice. These changemakers have collectively impacted over one lakh marginalized women and girls across diverse geographies, from the tribal regions of Odisha and Jharkhand to the red-light districts of Kolkata and the tea gardens of Assam.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Namit BajoriaKutchina Foundation’s Founder & Managing Trustee, said, “Our commitment to empower women goes beyond mere words; it is a promise that drives us to transform communities and break barriers. In the next decade, we envision a future where every woman can be a beacon of hope and change. Over the past 10 years, our Krittika Fellows have emerged as catalysts of change, driving meaningful impact in some of the most vulnerable communities. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to expanding our support for women changemakers across India.”

The event featured several key highlights, including the screening of a special documentary, capturing the decade-long impact of Kutchina Foundation and the felicitation of 26 Krittika Fellows, recognizing their contributions to social change.
