Thirty one contract workers engaged in different units of the Plant took part in the skill enhancement training on ‘Safe Conveyor Belt operations’ at Deeksha, Ispat Suraksha Kaushal Kendra, of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant on 6th December, 2024.
Theoretical as well as practical inputs were provided to the participants towards mitigating unsafe practises at workplace. In addition to the theoretical inputs and hands on training in the working model the purpose was to develop a bank of skilled people in and around Rourkela with specialization in Behavioural Safety.
The sessions were taken by Mr. S R Gochhayat, Regional Directorate of DTNBWE under Ministry of Labour and Employment and Mr. R K Tiwari, faculty.
On completion of the training, Certificates issued by Dattopant Thengadi National Board for Workers Education & Development (Ministry of Labour &Employment, Government of India) were presented to the Contract Labours. Mr. Rajib Mukherjee, Senior Manager, (HR-CLC) was present on the occasion.
The programme was coordinated by Mr. Rajib Mukherjee and HR-Contract Labour Cell collective.
