HUDCO has provided a handheld portable TB X-ray machine for the Health Department,of Himachal Pradesh Chamba under its CSR program. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mukesh Repaswal of Chamba received Expressing his gratitude to HUDCO and Executive Director (CSR) Shri Rajiv Sharma, Repaswal emphasized the machine’s low power requirements, making it an invaluable asset for examining TB patients in the district’s remote areas. This device will play a crucial role in the TB eradication campaign running for 100 days started from December 7, 2024.
Shri Rajiv Sharma noted that this portable X-ray machine is part of HUDCO’s Health and Nutrition Program, aimed at strengthening the TB eradication campaign nationwide. He also announced plans to provide an additional machine to the Health Department shortly. Furthermore, HUDCO has approved medical equipment and furniture worth Rs. 1 crore for Chamba Medical College. Other attendees included District Health Officer Dr. JS Bhardwaj, District Program Officer Dr. Harit Puri, and various officials from HUDCO and the Healt.
