Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC was felicitated as Chief Guest by The Institution of Engineers (India), Faridabad Local Centre on the occasion of 57th Engineers Day at Faridabad. Prof.(Dr.) Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice Chancellor, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology(YMCA), Faridabad, Shri R. P. Sharma, Executive Director (EMS), NHPC, Senior Members of Institution of Engineers and Senior engineers from different fields were also present on the occasion.
Shri Singh extended his wishes for Engineers Day and paid tribute to Shri M. Visvesvaraya for his contribution towards engineering. He further highlighted the role of engineers in the field of Medical Technologies, Data Engineering and Artificial Intelligence.
Shri Singh also informed that NHPC is generating over 7000 MW and constructing projects of over 10000 MW capacity and is committed towards constructing 23000 MW by 2032 and become a 50000 MW company by 2047.
